Enrolment Process

Kindergarten Entry

When an application is received, an acknowledgement letter will be emailed to parents/carers. 

For Kindergarten entry, enrolment interviews will normally take place in the year prior to the enrolment.

All prospective parents will be invited to a Kindergarten Presentation and Tour in March.

Year 7 Entry

When an application is received, an acknowledgement letter will be emailed to parents/carers.

For Year 7 entry, enrolment interviews will normally take place in Term 2 in Year 5. Parents / carers and guardians will be contacted to arrange an enrolment interview.

Not everyone will be contacted at the same time.


Thank you for your interest in St John Bosco College. We appreciate that choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make.

Most students join SJBC Community at either Kindergarten or Year Seven level, other year levels are on a space available basis.

We want you to be a part of our exciting Bosco Community. We are currently accepting enrolments:

      • Kindergarten 2026 (D.O.B: July 1 2021 – June 30 2022) & beyond
      • Year 7 2026 (Year 4 in 2024) & beyond

Our Enrolment Process:

  1. Registration
    Pre-Kindergarten
    Please download the enrolment package.
    Primary (Kindergarten to Year 6) and Secondary
    Please download the enrolment package and terms of payment. Submit “Application for Enrolment Form”, supporting documents and Application Fee of $35.
  2. Parish Priest Reference Form
    Please download the Parish Priest Reference Form.
    Only applicable to baptised Catholic students.
  3. Enrolment Interview/Waitlist
    Please note that lodging an application does not automatically result in enrolment. Class sizes are limited and children may have to be placed on waiting lists. If your application is successful, you will be contacted and invited to attend an interview with the College Principal / Dean of Students before a confirmed place at the College is offered.
  4. Submit Student Information Form
    You will need to complete and submit a Student Information Form with other supporting documentation (including Immunisation History Statement) at or prior to the interview.
  5. Offer of Enrolment Position
    When the Principal / Dean of Students offers you the Enrolment Letter of Offer for your child/ren during the enrolment interview, you know you have been offered a position.
  6. Payment of Enrolment Deposit
    The enrolment position is confirmed once the enrolment documents have been signed and returned to the College, and the enrolment deposit has been paid.
    1. Kindergarten Enrolment Deposit: $200
    2. Primary Enrolment Deposit:  $250
    3. Secondary Enrolment Deposit:  $250

How do I apply?

To register your child/ren’s name on the St John Bosco College waitlist, please complete all sections in the “Application for Enrolment Form” and submit with a $35 / per child Application Fee and supporting documents to

When do I apply?

The College accepts applications any time throughout the year.

Pre-Kindergarten

For Pre-Kindergarten enrolments, the enrolment process commences in October in the year prior to the enrolment.

Kindergarten

For Kindergarten entry, enrolment interviews will normally take place from May to June in the year prior to the enrolment.

Year 7

For Year 7 entry, enrolment interviews will normally take place in Term 1 when the students are in Year 5. Parents / carers and guardians will be contacted to arrange an enrolment interview. Not everyone will be contacted at the same time.

What will happen when my child is on the waitlist?

Waitlisted applications are prioritised incorporating Catholic Education WA’s Enrolment Priorities. Click here to view this policy, under Community and Enrolment.

If a place becomes available, parents will be contacted by phone to arrange an enrolment interview .

Applications remain on the Waitlist, if no vacancy arises. It is not required to submit another application. 

Please note that we have already reached capacity for all Primary Year Levels. We only have limited space available in Year 8 to Year 10 in 2023.

  • Registrations for Kindergarten in 2024 and 2025 are now open.
  • Registrations for Year 7 in 2026 are now open. 
Can my child still attend St John Bosco College if he/she is not Catholic?

Catholic enrolments are prioritised as per CEWA’s Enrolment Priorities.

As per CEWA’s Enrolment Policy, all students are welcome to apply to become part of our Bosco Community.
